A professional water audit,
such as we provide is primarily aimed at the
larger water user who will normally have processes
involving water use and / or be located on
an estate with private water mains, such as
a hospital or a school or college campus.
These users are not easily
able to identify and control every point where
water is consumed, in particular where a business
or organisation has been running for some
years and additional facilities have been
added on a peicemeal or 'as required' basis.
For the smaller water user,
such as a domestic house, office or perhaps
a shop or hairdresser? a water audit is easily
carried out on a DIY basis. Particulalry where
you can identify and ideally switch off all
water outlets.
To check for leaks, simply
switch off all your taps or anything else
that uses water, take a reading from your
water meter, wait an hour then take another
reading. If the two readings are the same,
it is almost certain that you have no leaks.
You should also identify
and fix
dripping taps.
Where we can help, in particular
with offices or commercial premises is in
proposing and fitting such as low flush urinals,
percussion taps and many other water saving
possibilities.
