Information Collected from e-mail

If you identify yourself by sending an e-mail containing personal information:

You may volunteer to provide us personally-identifying information, for example your mailing address, your CV, in an e-mail message. Before you do so, you should know that the material you submit may be seen by various people in the course of their official duties.

We may enter the information into a database, and we may reply to you based on the correspondence you have sent us.

Where an e-mail is received by us which is not intended for us, we will normally reply to the sender indicating that the 'to' address is incorrect. It is not our practice to forward e-mails, even where (we believe) we can identify the intended addressee.

Also, e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication is very sensitive or includes personal information, you may want to send it by postal mail instead.
